We take food seriously in our family! And we believe that food can be a powerful tool to overall health.
80% of the time we eat very healthy, and 20% of the time we stray from the Swank/Paleo/GAPS-ish protocols we follow (I’m more like 90/10 only because I tend to feel lousy if I eat foods that aren’t so good for me).
Posts categorized under 80/20 eating will focus on recipes that fill the 80% healthy foods in our diet. Some will be vegan and some will be Paleo. The vast majority will be gluten free and dairy free, and many will be free of refined sugars on processed items. All will be delicious.
All will also be easy, since I don’t have time for hard to find ingredients or 10 step cooking processes. Healthy baking is a pet hobby of mine, so expect a lot of those to be featured!
Most of the recipes will be from cookbooks or websites that I love, with a few of my own (and some variations on others’ recipes) thrown into the mix.
I will occasionally talk a little bit about the diets/food protocols that we follow, and the research behind them, but I will mostly keep it about the food 🙂
